Configuring the Clock in your 2016 Volkswagen Passat

April 29th, 2016 by

Nowadays, technology in your car is pretty advanced. From infotainment systems, to digital instrument clusters, to dynamic safety systems, car technology can be incredibly complex but it often takes very little configuration on the driver’s part to operate effectively. However, there’s one piece of technology in every car that continually leaves drivers scratching their heads: the clock. How many times has daylight savings time rolled around and you found yourself fumbling through the car manual, desperately trying to remember how to “spring ahead” or “fall back”? Well, Volkswagen says the time has come to do away with the complexity of the clock. That’s why it has produced this helpful video on how to configure the clock on your 2016 Volkswagen Passat.

By using either the buttons adjacent to the instrument cluster or using the steering wheel controls to navigate the MFI settings, Volkswagen provides a headache-free way of setting the clock in your Volkswagen Passat. Best of all, setting the clock once sets it across all of the Volkswagen systems, including the analog clock and the clock in the center stack. It even included a helpful daylight savings time function, for a one-click solution to all your chronological problems!

This short instructional video is part of a handy series aimed at helping drivers better understand the functions of their Volkswagen vehicles.
