Like Volkswagen’s other models with the ID prefix, the ID.7 will be propelled by a fully electric powertrain, aligning with the brand’s commitment to sustainable transportation. It’ll be offered trims called Pro and Pro S Plus, with both getting an 82-kWh battery and the buyer’s choice of either a single-motor RWD system (282 horsepower and 402 lb.-ft. of torque) or a dual-motor AWD setup (335 hp). While the official range estimates from Volkswagen and the EPA have yet to be disclosed, the ID.7 will likely surpass the already commendable range of its larger counterpart, the ID.4, which provides 291 miles per full charge.
Elegant, polished, and robust: these are the descriptors that capture the essence of the 2025 ID.7. With its sleek silhouette, accentuated by a sloping roofline and gracefully contoured angles, the ’25 ID.7 epitomizes contemporary refinement. Among its most distinctive features will be large 19-inch wheels, illuminated front and rear logos, power-folding side mirrors, and a power-operated tailgate. Not only that, but the ID.7 will come with proximity keyless entry, allowing you to unlock the vehicle without fumbling around for the key fob. The exterior palette will offer attractive colors such as Mythos Black, Glacier White, Moonstone Gray, Aquamarine Blue, and Kings Red.
The ’25 ID.7 will incorporate plenty of next-level amenities for the pleasure of its occupants, such as an augmented reality head-up display, a 15-inch infotainment touchscreen, and upscale illuminated accents. Beyond that, it will boast a panoramic glass roof with electrochromic tinting (it will darken automatically on bright days), a heated steering wheel, heated power-adjustable front seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Adding to the ID.7’s allure will be two celestial color schemes for the interior: Galaxy with black seats and white stitching and Lunar with gray seats and light stitching. With the top-tier Pro S Plus, you’ll be treated to additional luxuries in the form of automatic heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats with position memory, plus a world-class 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system accompanied by a trunk-mounted subwoofer.
To top it off, Volkswagen will make its signature IQ.Drive safety suite standard in the ID.7. Along with more conventional driving aids like forward collision warning, parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control, this state-of-the-art EV will showcase advanced capabilities through semi-automated hands-free driving, automatic parking assistance with memory, and a surround-view camera.
