Fresh and Distinctive Looks

The Tiguan has always been known for its style, but the 2025 edition raises the bar even higher. Up front, it features a higher and more pronounced nose paired with slimmer LED headlights. For added flair, an LED light bar and illuminated logo can be ordered to further define the lighting signature. The all-new Tiguan’s profile is accentuated by a curved undercut above the front fenders that emphasizes its confident stance, while the roof shows off a rear spoiler to enhance aerodynamics. Rounding out the exterior updates are new wheel designs and a refreshed color palette, including shades like Avocado Green Pearl, Sandstone Uni, and Monterey Blue Pearl.

A Premium Cabin Transformation

The ‘25 Tiguan’s interior sets a new standard for VW sophistication. High-end materials, such as walnut wood trim and double-stitched upholstery, add refinement to the ambience, while the Savona leather detailing and embossed cloth upholstery blend luxury with style. Volkswagen has also repositioned the gear selector to the steering column to free up valuable center console space.

Tech enthusiasts will appreciate the standard 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro gauge cluster and 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Plus, a new center-console rotary dial controls the debuting Atmospheres system, blending customizable ambient lighting and audio settings that you can change with your moods. Additional trim-specific amenities will include wireless phone charging, a head-up display, a 15-inch touchscreen, quilted leather upholstery, massaging power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and customizable ambient lighting with up to 30 color options.

Reengineered for Performance

Beneath its hood, the ‘25 Tiguan introduces a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Its 201 horsepower output represents a 17-hp increase over the predecessor’s, increasing both acceleration and fuel efficiency. Although the EPA’s official fuel economy ratings weren’t released by the time of this writing, the redesigned Tiguan is expected to achieve better mileage than before thanks some weight reduction in the body.

IQ.Drive Safety Tech

Volkswagen has raised the Tiguan’s safety credentials for 2025 by adding four additional airbags (bringing the total to 10) and making its comprehensive IQ.DRIVE Level 2 driver assistance suite standard across all trims. This tech bundle’s key features include Travel Assist (semi-automated driving assist), Front Assist (forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection), active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Lane Assist (lane-keeping system), and Emergency Assist (semi-automated vehicle assistance during emergencies).

Every ’25 Tiguan will be equipped with Light Assist (automatic high beams), Park Distance Control (parking sensors), and Exit Warning (safe exit assist) as well. Park Assist Plus, the brand’s proprietary active parking system, will be offered as an upgrade.
