The 2025 Jetta GLI comes in a sole trim called the Autobahn. The front wheels are spun by a 228-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and managed by a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Its other special attributes include adaptive chassis control, multi-mode dynamic chassis control, a front differential lock, dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips, and red brake calipers.
A manual-equipped Jetta GLI is EPA-rated for 26 mpg around town and 36 mpg on the open road. Those estimates drop to 25 city/35 highway with the automatic gearbox.
The 2025 Jetta GLI has an extensive standard equipment list that starts with a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, stainless-steel pedal caps, dual-zone automatic climate control, a driver’s memory system, and a power driver’s seat. It also has proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a 10.25-inch configurable instrument display (the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro), LED exterior lighting with automatic headlamps, ambient interior lighting, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated power side mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, three USB ports, wireless device charging, an electronic parking brake, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Volkswagen’s IQ.DRIVE is included with the 2025 Jetta GLI. This advanced technology bundle consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The system also has Travel Assist, semi-autonomous driving support, and Emergency Assist, semi-automated vehicle assistance that can stop a vehicle with an unresponsive driver.
The Jetta GLI’s infotainment system receives a notable upgrade for 2025 with the new 8-inch floating touchscreen display. The system is supported by App-Connect smartphone integration (wireless and USB), SiriusXM satellite radio, myVW connected services, and a BeatsAudio sound system.
