2022 Volkswagen Arteon for Sale in West Warwick, RI
Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy
The sharp-looking Arteon comes in SE R-Line, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium R-Line trim levels. One of 2022’s changes is a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 300 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque; it’s paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The SE R-Line gets front-wheel drive, while the SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line are made with all-wheel drive. To make your life even easier, every ’22 Arteon comes with the Carefree Maintenance Program, which provides on-the-house scheduled maintenance visits for 2 years/20,000 miles (whichever comes first).
The SE R-Line offers more than the average base model, as it comes with features like automatic LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors, push-button ignition, rain-sensing windshield wipers, tri-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multi-function haptic touch surfaces, a wireless smartphone charger, Digital Cockpit (a fully digital 10-inch instrument cluster), dual front USB-C data ports, a 60/40-split rear seat with a center armrest, and nice-looking 18-inch wheels. The leatherette-upholstered seats are ergonomically sound and comfortable on long drives; in the front row, they have sport bolsters and are power-adjustable and heated. Both the interior rearview mirror and the driver’s-side exterior mirror are auto-dimming.
Every Arteon is equipped with VW’s IQ.DRIVE, a bundle of advanced driver-aid technologies. The SE R-Line’s version includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors. For entertainment and communication, there’s an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can also be controlled using voice commands. Its features are wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth for hands-free phone use and audio streaming.
VW upgrades the SEL R-Line’s headlights with a corner illumination feature, and the exterior mirrors are enhanced with power-folding and position memory. A panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, and ambient interior lighting with changeable colors are all added. The seats are upholstered in Nappa leather, with position memory added to the driver’s seat. Some technologies are added to the IQ.DRIVE suite: adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, a dynamic road sign display, travel assist (for semi-automated driving), lane keeping assist, and emergency assist, which brings the vehicle to a full stop if the driver is unable to.
SEL Premium R-Line
The SEL Premium R-Line earns its middle name with a massaging driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free trunk, heated rear outboard seats, and a rear-seat USB-C charging port. In the driver-assist technology category, it adds an overhead camera system and automatic parking assist. The infotainment system is augmented with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and VW Car-Net comes standard to allow certain vehicle functions to be controlled via smartphone.
