New Volkswagen 2019 Volkswagen Jetta Trims for Sale in West Warwick, RI
After seven generations, the Volkswagen Jetta retains its popularity as an affordable German car with fine safety ratings and standard amenities usually reserved for more expensive vehicles. The front-wheel-drive sedan is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and comes standard with a backup camera, LED headlights, a 5-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. It’s also still available with a manual transmission, to the delight of driving enthusiasts who love that added element of control. Both the manual and automatic transmission achieve 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway, and all trims come with a transferable 6-year/72,000-mile warranty.
S and SE Trims
The S trim may not come with as many standard amenities as its fellow Jettas, but it does have one elusive feature that some people are looking for: a stickshift (although an automatic transmission is also available on this trim for an additional $800). Many people who truly enjoy driving appreciate it that much more when they are shifting gears themselves instead of leaving it up to an automatic transmission. If you’re in that camp, the S will make that happen for you with its redesigned six-speed manual transmission, as long as you’re fine with cloth upholstery and the other base-level particulars. The only available package for the S trim is the Driver Assistance bundle, which adds heated exterior mirrors, forward collision warning, auto emergency braking, and a blind spot monitor.
The SE trim, which comes only with an eight-speed automatic transmission, adds leatherette upholstery in a choice of three colors, plus heated power side mirrors, a power tilt/slide panoramic moonroof, a fuel-saving start/stop system, dual-zone auto climate control, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It’s also eligible for some factory accessories, highlighted by roof-rack carrier bars and a cargo box attachment.
The R-Line Trim
This trim has a number of sporty appearance characteristics that set it apart, inside and out. There are fog lights, two-tone leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching, R-Line badging, 17-inch trim-specific charcoal grey alloy wheels, a gloss-black grille, and dual exhaust. The only behind-the-scenes difference between this and the other trim is its XDS electronic differential.
SEL and SEL Premium Trims
The SEL improves upon the lower trims with rain-sensing windshield wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a drive mode selector, an upgraded (8-inch screen) infotainment center with a premium 400-watt Beats Audio system and SiriusXM satellite radio, and VW’s sophisticated 10.25” Digital Cockpit display, which replaces the analog gauges in the lower trims.
The SEL Premium is the only trim that gets genuine leather upholstery for its top-of-the-line sport comfort seating; the front row seats are, of course, heated on this highest version of the Jetta. Its multimedia system is also upgraded, and it receives a remote-start feature.
These top two trims receive a new feature from Volkswagen: customizable interior ambient lighting with ten colors to change around as you see fit.
